A health assessment forms part of the statutory assessment process to ascertain and understand your child’s special educational and health needs
If you have a disabled child whom you feel requires additional support, you are entitled to an assessment of his or her needs
Children with special educational needs have learning difficulties or disabilities that make it harder for them to learn than most children of the same age
If you are a parent or carer of a disabled child under the age of 18 you are entitled to an assessment of your own needs.
