Early Education

All children, including children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), are entitled to early education funding from the term following their third birthday until they start school. This is available for up to fifteen hours a week during term time.

Early Education for Two-Year-Olds

Some children are eligible for early education funding from the term following their second birthday. Children who are in receipt of disability living allowance qualify automatically. For further information about eligibility, please contact your local children's centre .

Childcare

Registered childcare services for children aged 0-18 are usually paid for by parents and are available at:


Parents of children with SEND might want to use registered childcare services to support respite or work. Funding to support parents who are in work or training is available from a number of sources.
