How much does it cost?
There is no charge for information and advice and we are more than happy to provide it to carer's. There is no charge for a Carer's Assessment but there may be a cost for any support services that we agree you will need to help you continue caring. If you receive services from a local voluntary organisation, these are generally provided free of charge.
Why have an assessment?
The Carer's Assessment is the gateway to many of the support, information, and services that are available to carers in Swindon. It enables the experienced support workers to target support to your specific circumstance. During the assessment, the assessor can identify and suggest ways of obtaining any support needed and, if agreed with the carer and cared for, assist in organising it. You may also be eligible for a carer's Personal Budget.
