What is this?

Shared Lives specialise in providing care, support and accommodation to any vulnerable adult aged 18 years or over. The service differs from managed care homes as the client usually lives within the Carer's home. Shared Lives homes can only have a maximum of three clients living there at any one time. Shared Lives Carers come from a wide range of backgrounds and all have different family circumstances.

We recruit, assess and support providers who offer accommodation or care and support in their family home to people who are unable to live independently.

What support can we offer you?

Respite Resource: respite is provided in a family home, this is a flexible resource offering you a supportive break from each other in an environment that suits you and your needs. You can stay with a family.

Long and Short Term Placements: you can develop your independence in a variety of ways. The provider will offer you support and guidance to access local resources within your community.

Cost of placements are dependent upon individual needs.
