Help with walking

If you are finding it difficult to walk around inside your home and feel that you need a walking aid, SEQOL Community Intermediate Care Team (CICT) are able to help you.

In the first instance you will need to speak to your GP who can refer you to the SEQOL Community Intermediate Care Team (CICT). The CICT will then carry out an assessment which will look at your health and medical needs, to help improve your independence with everyday tasks. The CICT may also refer you to The Balance & Safety Group whose aim is to reduce the risk of falling and improve your strength and postural stability.

SEQOL also have a Wheelchair and Specialist Seating Service. They work with adults and children who have a long term disability and who will need a wheelchair for six months or more, or need specialist seating.

The British Red Cross may also be able to provide wheelchairs and other equipment on a short term basis.
